COMPETITION GUIDELINES:

The competition is open to all (any divisions and categories will be competing for the major title, which MR. GINOONG KADAYAWAN 2009). Interested participants must fill up the application form on or before June 15, 2009 (for those within Davao City). TAKE NOTE: The contest is limited to 15 competitors only. It is the Contest Committee's discretion as to who will be included in the final line up.

RULES & REGULATIONS:
1. Strictly NO BODY COLORING
2. Fill up the apploication form and provide a 3R whole body photo in posing trunks.
3. All participants will provide 2 CDs for their 2-minute individual pose showdown.
4. There will be a pre-judging for the special awards on August 8, 2009 at 8AM SHARP. (if you arrive late, you will not be allowed to join the pre-judging)
5. There will be a General Rehearsal before the event (time will be announced later)
6. Competitors must abide in rehearsal/pictorials and time required by the competition committee.
7. REGISTRATION FEE: Php 500.00

Attention all Bodybuilders of Cagayan de Oro City and the Philippines!! I've got some sweet news for you!

The South Cotabato Body Builders Association (SCOBBA) is hosting the 2009 Invitational National Body Building Competition dubbed as "Muscle Rage 2". This competition, as said in their letter, aims to promote physical fitness and bodybuilding not only as a sport but as an integral activity that will develop health awareness and discipline, and will also foster camaraderie among the fitness enthusiasts in South Cotabato and other parts of the country.

The Pre-Judging Event will be on July 12, 2009, 7:00 PM at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City. While the Final Competition will be on the following day, July 13, 2009 at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center, still at Koronadal City. Please take note that no participants will be qualified to join the Final Competition if they failed to join the Pre-Judging event.

There are three (3) categories, namely:

• OPEN CATEGORY - this is open to all professional bodybuilders from all over the Philippines.
• NOVICE CATEGORY - exclusively open for any bodybuilders residing within South Cotabato and must have no previous participation to Mr. Philippines Bodybuilding Competition.
  
• MS. FITNESS FIGURE 2009 CATEGORY - Open to all Filipino ladies from age 18 - 30 with at least 5 feet in height.

1:30 PM - 4:00 PM - Production run-through with Celebrity Host
7:00 PM onwards - Final Competition

Hisgut-hisgut for Fiesta Games

This coming August 28, Cagayan de Oro City will be celebrating it's City Fiesta in honor of St. Augustine, it's Patron Saint.

Now, there's a buzz lately that there will be a Visayas-Mindanao Bodybuilding Competition. If ever this will be pushed thru, I'd like to inform all bodybuilder (male) readers out there to start getting pumped up and start your diet for this major event.

Tagbilaran City Fitness Centers

Ok guys, as promised, here's the pics of the fitness gyms of Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines.
Here's the pic of Super Bodies Fitness Center located at Gallares St., Tagbilaran City. It is managed by Mr. Art Bulatete, one cool guy who's been into bodybuilding contests within the Visayas area.

With Mr. Julius Jumang-it, another Super Bodies Fitness Center member who was very gracious and accomodating. A fitness enthusiast who loves to bond with cool guys will surely be at home at Super Bodies.

Another favorite fitness hotspot is the Pons Garcia Ladies Sportslife and Men's Workout Express that's found at the Pon's Garcia Building at 46 CPG Avenue, Tagbilaran City. This gym is managed by Ms. Elizabeth Lingo and Mr. Zosimo Lasaca. For inquiries, you may contact them at 411-4420.


Here's me and Mr. Lasaca of the Pons Garcia Ladies' Sportslife and Men's Workout Express. When you're in Bohol, and likes to shop along Carlos P Garcia Avenue, just look for Mercury Drug and the Pons Garcia Pawnshop. The gym is just at the 4th floor of the Pons Garcia Building.
Last, but not the least, is Le Spa Gym, found at the Courtyard Building along Airport Road right in front of the Birhen sa Barangay Parish-Shrine (a.k.a. Round Church or "Lingin nga Simbahan").
It's a small, compact and airconditioned private fitness center that's managed by Mr. June Lopena. It has a nearby massage center too where you can get a relaxing treat after a heavy workout.

On average, the monthly membership fee in Tagbilaran's Fitness Gyms range at around Php300. Although if you're just going there for fitness sessions, fees range from Php40 to Php100 per session. For more inquiries, just contact the gym managers.
