HELP HAITI

Haiti has just suffered a major loss after the massive earthquake that rocked it's nation last January 12, 2010. With a magnitude of 7.0 in the Richter Scale, it has killed more than half a million of Haiti's population and sent millions homeless and starving.

We can do our part as citizens of the world by sharing whatever extra things that we have and send them over to donation centers near our place like the Red Cross. We could also donate cash through TV and Radio Stations and if there's a United Nations area near your place, you may go there and send in your help.

Other humanitarian groups, charities and NGOs are extending their assistance to Haiti as well. Private sectors are also working hand-in-hand to provide Haiti the much needed aide as much as possible.

Right at this very moment, millions of Haitian are displaced without food and water. It's feared that chaos would arise if aide does not arrive soon. Please do your part -- share whatever you can...even prayers will heal displaced souls.

According to the Philippine National Red Cross website, the MOST URGENT NEEDS, besides CASH donations, are the following:
  • Food items: Rice, noodles, canned goods, sugar, iodized salt, cooking oil, monggo beans and portable water
  • Medicines: Paracetamol, antibiotics, analgesic, oral rehydration salts, multivitamins and medications to treat diarrheal diseases
  • Non-food items: Bath soaps, face towels, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, plastic mats, blankets, mosquito nets, jerry cans, water containers, water purification tablets, plastic sheetings, and Laundry soap
  • Rehabilitation Programs: Shelter materials for house repair

God bless the people of Haiti...
